The house

A house takes a name. Ours comes from Lisbon, and from Calouste Gulbenkian, a man of two worlds who built something lasting between them. We are building ours the same way, between the high Rockies of Colorado and the Mediterranean coast of France. The road that runs between is the whole story. We call it Rockies to Riviera.

Who we are

Him, her, and the road between

Mike

The Rockies in him. Rivers, high country, the long way around.

Emilie

The Riviera in her. Cities, coastlines, an eye for the good.

And the two of us

Cairo

Under the great dome of the Muhammad Ali Mosque.

01

The Rockies

Durango, Colorado. Alpine air, high passes, the San Juans out the back door.

02

The Riviera

The South of France. The coast in summer, the slow good life.

In the air

Between two worlds

The Journey

Where we have been

A few years of two worlds, and the road between. Everywhere we have set our feet, and the list keeps growing.

Taste, honestly held

We live and work in the business of travel. What we offer is not tricks, but taste and literacy: how to go well, where the good is, and how to make a life of it.
